DAY 1:
ARRIVAL HANOI
Dept Bangkok on TG 682, at 08:25 and arrive Hanoi 10.15
Transfer to the hotel in town. Day to be spent at your
leisure.
DAY 2: HANOI
Morning city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of
Literature
followed by a walking tour of the old quarter.
DAY 3: HANOI COMMUNITY WORK
Community Service project in Red river Delta
DAY 4: HANOI COMMUNITY WORK
Community Project
DAY 5: HANOI COMMUNITY WORK
Community Project. In the evening catch overnight train to
Sapa. The train
leaves at 9:30pm
DAY 6: SAPA
Arrival to Lao Cai station in the morning we got pick
up and transferred to
Sapa , an hour drive away. Check in to hotel and breakfast.
Spend the day
exploring Sapa.
DAY 7: SAPA
Spend day in visiting the Hill Tribe Villages.
DAY 8: SAPA
Spend day in visiting the Hill Tribe Villages.
DAY 9: SAPA
Final day to be spent in Sapa. This afternoon there will be a
transfer
awaiting at 4pm to Lao Cai for overnight train back to Hanoi.
DAY 10: HANOI - HALONG
Upon arrival to Hanoi you will be pick up and transferred to
Halong bay.
Boat excursion amongst towering limestone backdrops. Visit
caves and swim.
DAY 11: HALONG - HANOI
After breakfast on
our junk we will return to dry land and travel to the airport in
Hanoi for a flight to Dananng
After checking
into our hotel we will familiarize ourselves with the city and
eat dinner together.
DAY 12:
HOIAN
Breakfast will be provided at the
hotel. This will be followed by a group excursion to the
silk production and ceramics factories. After lunch we will
visit the orphanage where we will meet the children, present our
donations and take fresh fruit. After this you will be
given the option of participating in photography or drawing
activities, shopping or relaxing in the hotel for the rest of
the afternoon before we head out for another group dinner.
DAY 13: HOIAN
We will begin the day by participating in a half day cooking
class that includes a boat ride, buying our ingredients at the
local market and eating the food that we prepare. The
cooking class will be followed with visiting another orphanage
and more shopping. We will dine on the waterfront
where you can select to eat at a restaurant of your choice.
DAY 14: HOIAN - HCM CITY
We will depart Hoi
An after breakfast and travel to Danang by bus to catch our
flight to Ho Chi Minh City. During our bus ride to Danang
we visit Marble Mountain,
After checking into our hotel in
Ho Chi Minh City we will familiarize ourselves with the city
with dinner in high rise building hosted by Mrs. Judy Cropper’s
nephew and a night walk.
DAY 15: HCM
CITY
With a population of approximately 6 million,
Saigon (HCMC) is the largest city in Vietnam. The huge
number of people rushing about their daily business gives Saigon
a vital and dynamic atmosphere. Saigon is characterised by
a vast variety of sights and sounds, from ancient pagodas,
mosques and cathedrals to the former Presidential Palace and the
War Museum both fascinating reminders of the American War, from
historic Dong Khoi Street (the Rue Catinat from Graham Greene's
novel The Quiet American) to the bustling markets of Ben Thanh
and Cholon (Chinatown). Cyclos are the preferred transport
today! Much of the city life takes place on the streets which
are lined with stores, shops, stalls and vendors with their
wares spread out on the footpath selling everything from soup to
sophisticated electronics. The French influence is evident
in the excellent baguettes and coffee.
DAY 16:
CUCHI TUNNELS
We will depart early in the morning
for a full day excursion to Cao Dao Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels
will eat dinner on Pham Ngu Lao where you will have the option
of selecting a meal of your choice and be given an opportunity
to shop for well priced souvenirs and art works.
DAY 17: MEKONG DELTA
Departing early again, we head
into the Mekong Delta. We will travel by bus and boat for
two days, visit a coconut candy and rice paper factories,
villages that are renowned for the skills of their timber
sculpting and the floating markets.
DAY 18: DEPARTURE
We will depart Vietnam and
begin our journey back home.
