Volunteerism &
Community work in Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia!
We believe that volunteerism in
all its diversity can make important contributions to development. We aim to
enhance the benefits of community work and volunteerism for development as well
as for the individual volunteer. This is done by sharing relevant information
and exploring deeper collaboration on
community project,
volunteerism in
general, as well as specifically on volunteerism in Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia. In
addition we are committed to continuously learn more about volunteerism by
exchanging ideas, opinions and insights on volunteer related issues such as
volunteer management, volunteer characteristics, and volunteer promotion.

Handicap International Vietnam:
Since 1982, Handicap International (Belgium section) has been implementing
projects in order to reintegrate people with disabilities from war, diseases
or underdevelopment. Established in Vietnam since 1992, our activities
currently include: Setting-up of a specialised department for the care and
rehabilitation of spinal cord injured in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC); Setting-up
of a polyvalent orthopeadic workshop in HCMC; Setting up a Road Safety
project in HCMC; Prevention and rehabilitation of the disabilities due to
Leprosy - Qui Nhon- central Vietnam

A&S – Architectures: is an Italian-registered
Non-profit International Association to Support Developing
Countries with representation in Turin, Italy (2003) and
Hanoi, Vietnam (2004). The association aims at promoting
access to information, knowledge and creative networking
initiatives for poor and outreach communities in order to
address conservation, housing, civil society empowerment and
good governance. To realize those goals: A&S provides
technical assistance (consulting on strategic planning,
project management and project written) and Training (on
facilitation, development education and technical
methodologies).
