Dear Dzung,

Thank you so much for all your help with our bookings during our recent holiday in Vietnam.  We had an absolutely fabulous time and really appreciate all your assistance.
Our cycling trip in the Mekong was absolutely outstanding - the driver of the support vehicle Huynh Phuong Truong was exceptional, very caring and considerate, as well as being a safe and careful driver and the tour guide Lam  was excellent.  They had a great knowledge of the area, were able to give us the history and information on day to day practices as well as taking us to various points of interest to see products such as coconut jelly etc being made.  The driver and guide worked so well together and provided us with the most wonderful trip - we have no hesitation in highly recommending them as an excellent combination and great ambassadors for your business.  Even though I was very unsure of my ability to ride a bicycle, the whole trip for all of us was so much fun and the pathways and tracks chosen were brilliant,
giving us a real insight into daily life and the beautiful scenery. The boat trip, ferry crossings, driving, cycling
 - all excellent and all very well thought out and planned - we saw so much and had the most fabulous experience.

We look forward to being able to contact you again in the future with further travelling plans in Vietnam Laos and Cambodia.
And I promise we will be more organized in the future and plan exactly what we want to do all at once so there wont be so much confusion!!
Thank you again for a most wonderful holiday experience.

Kind regards

Dear Ms Huyen ,

Finally home , we sincerely want to thank you and Discovery Indochina for the perfect organisation of our private voyage North Vietnam - Angkor Cambodia.
Especially Ms  Lieu , our French speaking guide ,  for her personal attention and excellent service to us . She succeeded to transmit to us her love of her country and became a friend.
Also the driver in Angkor , Mr Phantip was excellent.

We are planning a new voyage early next year , probably Vietnam - Laos , and hope again to consult you.

Dear Dzung,

Back from a very interesting trip to Vietnam, we really enjoyed it very much although we could not go deeper
into the area due to the missing ‘special permits’. But never mind, I have a good impression of this area.
There were not so many textiles available, but we have found a few very interesting ones.
Christina had to prepare a presentation, so I let her do the buying of the old ones, and I bought a few new ones,
just to stimulate the weaving.

Thanks very much for getting all this organized in such a very short time, but it was really worth it.
We gave the ‘home-stays’ a miss, as we both preferred to have some comfort during the nights,
an air conned room, and a toilet nearby. We are getting older Dzung!

QUESTION: As you know I’m very interested to see those shamans, either male or female. I know around Sapa,
Yen Bai Province, Lau Chau Province and probably in more area’s. Please, in case you know of something interesting let me know,
I will come with a few friends just like I did with the ‘Dance of the Holy Mothers’ in Phu Giay.

Hope you will find something!!!

Thanks again and of course the Tai People are always on my list to explore more,

Dear Dzung,

We would like to thank you so very much for organising our tour.
We loved every single bit of it, and everything went so smoothly.

We loved our hotels - although Raffles in PhomPenh would have been lovely!!!!

We would love to come back and do the North of Vietnam - Hanoi to Sapa and down to Luang Pabang in Laos.  So if you have any ideas on that we would be interested. Apparently there is a train from Hong Kong to
Hanoi - do you know anything about that.? Also there may be a bike ride somewhere along the way.

Last October we rode bikes from Hanoi to Saigon - along the HCM trail. which was fantastic, so we have done
all the popular Vietnam destinations.

Thank you once again for all the work you did putting our trip together. We appreciate it.

Kindest Regards,

Dear Ms Thi,

We just got back to Toronto from Vietnam and Cambodia. We are very leased with the services arranged for us. The Hotels, Zephyr in Hanoi, Duxton in Saigon and Prince D'Angkor in Siem Reap were good quality 4 star accommodations. They were centrally located in the Downtown area and within easy walking distance to many interesting places. The Breakfast in the Hotels were very good and the Lunch and Dinners arranged in local restaurants were also excellent.
Our trip to Halong Bay was awesome and the Lunch on the junk boat was excellent.

Your English speaking guides and drivers were punctual, courteous, informative and went out of their way to make our stay in each place very pleasant.
Overall your Company did an excellent job and we would certainly recommend your Company to our friends.
Thank you for arranging a wonderful trip for us.

Regards.

Dear Pham Thi (Ms),

My wife and I have now returned to Australia. We were pleased to meet you in person, if only for a brief exchange, on our last day in Ha noi. We would like to thank you and Discovery Indochina most sincerely for arranging our private tour of Vietnam and in particular, our visit to the Long Tan Cross. A first for you. All aspects of the tour worked perfectly, our accommodation was of a very high standard and each of our guides added much to our overall knowledge of Vietnam and were excellent company. As a suggestion, perhaps the use of the cable car during the visit to the Perfume Pagoda, for more senior persons such as us, could be offered as an optional extra. A number of our friends have already contacted us regarding our tour. I will give them your contact details.

With best wishes,

Dear Thi,

Yes, we arrived home safely and had a wonderful time in Indochina and also in Bali, where
we were  for our last week of the holiday.  As you can see from the message below, some
of the script is hard to read.  I think that I can understand the context of the message,
but am missing some of the key words.

I am in the process of looking at  our pictures and I do have many group pictures that I
would be happy to forward as soon as I have a chance to do so.  I would also like to
respond to the request about strengths of the trip and also suggestions for future trips,
but  here there are just a couple, as the trip was everything we had hoped it to be.

We did enjoy meeting you in Hanoi as it is so nice to see the person  who was an integral
part of our life for the year preceeding our dream holiday. Thank you for reimbursing
Wendy, also.

I will be back in contact with you as soon as I can.

Sincerely,

Pat Ritchie

Dear Ms Huyen,

My wife and I have just returned to our home in London after our wonderful 28 day holiday in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and would like to immediately express our sincere thanks to Discovery Indochina, and especially to you personally, for the excellent planning and  execution of all of all of the arrangements that you made on our behalf.
I am delighted to inform you that everything worked like clockwork: our 7 flights, 2 overnight train journeys, Halong Bay cruise, many hotel reservations, and daily excursions and/or transfers.
This is so impressive that I am very pleased to offer myself as a reference to any potential future customers of Discovery Indochina. I will also not hesitate to recommend you to anyone that I know or meet that expresses an interest in visiting Indochina. Furthermore, we will, of course, contact you again if and when we decide to return.

With all best wishes and warmest regards
Janine and Tony Warton

P.S. I am truly sorry that our extremely busy schedule prevented me from meeting you in Hanoi.

Dear Dzung,

Back home, going through a mountain of mail and chores.  With the Christmas season here, I'm also decorating the house and putting up a Christmas tree.  I love the smell of the fresh tree in the house.

We had an outstanding trip....except that we missed having you along with us.  The itinerary you planned for us in China was great.  The Lugu Lake area was so exciting and we all wanted to spend more time in Lijiang.  We also had some nice visit to Miao houses and villages in Guizhou.  While the guide we had in Kunming, Joe, was a bit superficial, both Miss Yin and Mr Yang were outstanding.  Not only was their English good but they truly understood what we were interested in seeing and went out of their way to help us.  Our meals and accommodations were also good.  It was really cold in both Lijiang and Lugu Lake, but we managed.

Wishing you and your family all the best in the New Year.  Tell your mother we are counting on her to make a full recovery in time for the Year of the Rat

Dear Ms Huyen,

It is already a month since we returned home from our very wonderful trip to Vietnam ending with a weekend in Siemreap. Even though this letter is well overdue we nonetheless wanted express our thanks and appreciation for your excellent service and the planning of such a very successful trip for us. You found us good, well-located hotels,(especially the Zephyr, the Hoi An and the best possible ending to such a trip, the Prince d'Angkor!) you provided us not only with some superb guides but also extremely pleasant ones. The cars were very comfortable and the drivers were excellent.

Our first five days we were accompanied by Giap (the northern part of our trip to Sapa and Halong Bay). He has  good sense of humour that enhanced our experience. Like Giap, Tsien (our guide in Saigon) was also a pleasure to be with.
This has certainly been among our most memorable trips and we have spent the last month sharing our experiences, photos and stories with all our friend here in Israel and very much tempting them to do the same!

We left Vietnam with the good impression of a beautiful people, amiable, pleasant, positive and forward going, and a people filled with optimism for a prosperous future.

With much thanks once again,
Sue and Ray Parnes

Dear Mr Dzung,

Thank you very much for putting so a good tour together for us on our recent visit to Vietnam.
All the arrangements worked very well and I apologise for the confusion over the hotel which was soon sorted out.

The boat trip to Halong Bay was perfect with a very comfortable boat (good accommodation, good food, good service) and good weather.
It was a beautiful place and we particularly enjoyed the kayaking in the outer islands where we managed to loose most of the other boats.
Quang the guide was very good.

The trip walking at Sapa we also enjoyed but the weather wasn't quite so kind as it was cloudy.
However we enjoyed our walks through the mountain villages and Thuy did a great job looking after us and cooking our picnics.

Once again many thanks for giving us such a memorable holiday in Vietnam. Please pass on our thanks to your team of staff as well.

Best wishes from Philip and Philippa Balfour

Dear Ms Huyen

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for arranging my tour through Cambodia and Vietnam.  It was the most memorable trip I have ever had in my life, one I will remember forever and share with my friends and family.  You did a tremendous job of ensuring that I had good and friendly guides who explained all the wonderful things I was seeing and answered questions I had on safety and etiquette.

Being a single woman traveling alone through countries where I unfortunately know little of the language and customs this guidance and care was important to me.  I felt safe in each guides hands and would gladly recommend your service to others.

Thank you so much for all your kind service and help.
