Upon arrival, meet
and transfer to town. This afternoon, we visit the Hilltribe
Museum & Education Center with a lecture at the Population and
Community Development Association on the Hilltribes.
Drive about 45 min to Chiang Sean or commonly known as the
"Golden Triangle" |

Drive to Chiangrai town
to catch a Long Tail Boat ride for about an hour to a Karen
Village. From here, take an elephant ride through the
surrounding jungle before returning to Chiangrai by Long Tail
Boat. Packed lunch en route.
On arrival in Chiangrai, we take a tour of Chiangrai Town by
Trishaw before visiting Mae Sai, a border town with Myanmar. It
has a distinct outpost atmosphere and a vibrant bazaar. Return
to Chiang Sean tonight. |

Day 03 |
CHIANGRAI/CHIANGMAI (B,L) |
Drive about 5 hours to
Chiangmai. En route, you will also visit the Red Karen Long Neck
Hilltribe.
This afternoon, we visit the Tribal Research Institute on the
Chiangmai University for the hilltribes museum. We will also
explore the Old City including visit to Wat Chiang Man, the
oldest temple in the city.
Tonight, you will be treated to a traditional Khantok dinner
with cultural performance.
Do not miss out the night bazaar tonight!

This morning, we spend
our time at Doi Suthep situated on a hill overlooking Chiangmai
and the surrounding valley. Thereafter, visit the famous
handicraft village and factories where you will see the local
silk and cotton weaving industry and observe how deft fingers
transform bamboo, paper, silk and paint into beautiful umbrellas
and learn more about the skills in woodcarving and how to make
lacquered boxes and silverware.
You have the afternoon free at leisure. Go shopping or pamper
yourself with a massage. |
