carpenter village:
08h30AM: Pick up from hotel, transfer to Bach
Dang port for boarding on the Thu Bon River to
Kim Bong Village. The tour will start with an
introduction walk during which the guide will
explain the story of Kim Bong Village.
Throughout the walk you will have the
possibility to admire the shipbuilding area
where wooden fishing vessels are built using
traditional techniques. You will also make a
stop in the carpentry workshop where carpenters
create hand crafted furniture and sculptures as
well as a range of souvenirs. Explorer the
peaceful rural village life and contemplate
several temples, old houses and the famous Kim
Buu pagoda, mats weaving & coracle boats, old
bamboo bridge. During the trail, you will enjoy
refreshments at villagers’ homes and enjoy the
snack with local foods there. Have a lunch at
local home’s villager. Back to the boat pier for
transfer back to your hotel at around 13h30

Pottery village:
08h30AM: Walk through the old streets before
embarking on a boat from the bank of the Thu Bon
River. Continue to the Thanh Ha pottery village
and learn about the daily lives of the
villagers. Here you will view the various stages
of producing the many kinds of the pottery
products such as jar vase, earthen pot,
decorative lamps and so on. Enjoy lunch at a
local restaurant in Hoi An old town, then take a
return boat and back to your hotel

Pick up from your
hotel for a short drive through the local
countryside we arrive at Tra Que Village ,
and the home of your host, Mr Tuan. A
welcome drink of freshly picked fruits is
waiting, before we take a walk around the
village and learn about the history and
customs of this charming village. We walk
through the market gardens where hundreds of
local farmers work their fields using the
traditional methods of hundreds of years ago
- no electrical machinery here.
We return to the home of Mr Tuan, and this
is where the real fun begins. Everyone is
given a farming instruments, and we set
about joining the farmers in preparing the
land for sewing. Our guide describes the
traditional farming methods while we help
fertilize the garden using seaweed from the
local river, and then water it using huge
tin cans strapped to our back. Time is then
spent picking vegetables and herbs, and
learning how to wrap them to prevent damage.
Many of the local herbs are used by the
farmers for traditional village medicines -
this includes the herbal pillow, which helps
relax your body and mind, ready for a good
night's sleep. It's now time to try are
hands at making the village speciality named
“Tam Huu” spring rolls - using the local
herbs and vegetables we have just picked or
Xeo Cake ( Banh Xeo). We then sit down and
enjoy a lovely local meal.
