From My Tho after we cycle the short distance to a ferry crossing, which will take us to Ben Tre Province. On the other side we cycle for approximately 12km along typical country roads to another ferry and then a further 25km. After a final ferry journey we arrive in Tra Vinh. From here we have time to explore this most remarkable of areas. Tra Vinh is home to over 300,000 ethnic Khmer who keep their culture alive including their practice of Theravada Buddhism. Her we can see authentic Khmer pagodas including the Ong Met Pagoda as well as the colorful and ornate Chinese Ong Pagoda.
