The Hoong Thip has an old and new wing, with the former of dubious value but the latter boasting spotless rooms, all with air-con, hot water, bathtubs and fridge representing quite good mid-range value, albeit in slightly questionable taste. All rooms include breakfast. Polite, English-speaking staff. It looks as if it would be popular with the increasing numbers of Vietnamese and Chinese business people flocking into town.

Our Chef and Laotian cooks excel in western, Thai and Laotian cuisine. The freshest fish, pork and tasty local and New Zealand beef, fresh and nutritious local vegetables from the Pakse wet market, and delicious, home-made desserts, ice creams and sorbets.
We also offer alfresco dining on our Mekong Riverside, outdoor BBQ on request; private dining for parties of up to 6 guests in our Riverside Pavilion; and on the rooftop deck of the Riverside Sala, overlooking the Mekong and our Parkland, we offer dinner and cocktails while you enjoy the sun set over the Resort and watch the moon and stars at night.
