Mid-autumn festival is the happy festival in Vietnam. It comes on 15th August according to Lunar Calendar. Every year, at that day, the moon will be so round and bright. All of Vietnamese families, especially children enjoy this festival together. That is why it is called the reunion festival.
Discovery Indochina teams understand how important Mid Autumn is for Vietnamese children. We hold a party for children in the village with an interesting program. It includes some games, cakes and fruits, gifts for good students, and a play based on the fairy tail: Tam & Cam.
Our Discovery Indochina team members put on the roles on the play. Ms Thuc Anh is on the role of Cam – the daughter of the sep mother, who is very self fish and lazy. While Ms Ngoc Dung’s role is Tam, the big sister of a dead father, who is working hard, kind hearted, and honest.
Through some ups and downs, Tam finally found her own happiness with the King. Via the fairy tale play, we hope it has an educational lesson of how important hard working and kindness are. We want every child will try to study hard, and be a good student, contribute to the development of our country.
Every year, our creative team always tries to make the festival and program more interesting for the children. Turn out, not only the children but their parents enjoyed the shows a lot.
Besides the entertaining purpose, our shows tried to bring children more values of educational lessons. We are trying to educate the children to live in harmony, not being selfish, and care about others.
And teach them how to believe in the beauty of people, kindness. Sharing and giving is the most meaningful part of our lives.
