Hanoi University of Pharmacy

The University of Pharmacy in Hanoi comes from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Indochina School of Medicine and Pharmacy, established in 1902 and considered as the only pharmaceutical university in the country with more than 100 years of history. It is a leading institution in the field of pharmacy education whose main task is to provide training courses and conduct scientific researches.

Over the past 50 years, the University of Hanoi Pharmacy has made huge contributions to the health sector in Vietnam. To date, the University has licensed more than 12,000 highly qualified pharmacists in accordance with national requirements. It provides more than 50% of human resources to the entire pharmaceutical sector.

In terms of student exchange, the University currently hosts students from Laos, Cambodia, Mongolia, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and Thailand. In addition, each year, the University sends its staff to other countries to take training courses to improve staff capabilities and practical experience in the field. The University strongly encourages and appreciates international collaboration.

The building housing the University is part of one of the main sites of the French colonial heritage in Hanoi.
