Restaurants & Bars

The Victory Gate Restaurant and Bar named after the Eastern entrance to Angkor Thom is in the same simple and comfortable style as the rest of the hotel. The light airy space with a natural breeze, allows you to relax over a meal or take a break in the day from the hot and dusty work of sight seeing.

Our chef and his team use fresh local ingredients to create a fusion of Khmer and Western cuisine. Khmer breakfast favorites such as bobor or rice porridge go hand in hand with Western staples of eggs and pastries together with whatever seasonal fruit can be had in the market. Main meals feature the Khmer classic fish amok, which is a gentle curry with fresh Chili served separately. Comfort food can be found in the form of grilled meats and salads.

Sarath, the chef was born in Puok, a small town about 15 km from Siem Reap. He went to study in Phnom Penh but had to come back to support his 9 siblings selling fish in the local market. Working his way up through hospitality service to hotel chef.
