Itinerary

ITINERARY IN DETAILS:

DAY 01 ARRIVE GUILIN
Upon arrival, met and transfer to Waterfall Hotel.

DAY 02 GUILIN - DAXU - CAO PING
After breakfast, hike the 326 steps up to the top of Fubo Hill for a bird-eye view of the city & the beautiful hills around. Have a visit of Reed Flute Cave, the master piece of nature art. In the afternoon, drive (about ½ hour) to the thousand year old ancient village of Daxu. Walk through the ancient streets, a favourite with film directors for shooting old Chinese movies. Local people living in traditional wooden houses will look at you with great curiosity as you walk the well-beaten stone streets. Drive another hour to Caoping and spend the night in a local guesthouse.

DAY 03 CAOPING - YANGDI (HALF DAY HIKE)
This morning, tour the Crown Cave in the morning and explore the splendid cave formations, stalactites and stalagmites. Start your hike in the afternoon to picturesque Yangdi (about 3 to 4 hours) and spend the night at a local guesthouse.

DAY 04 YANGDI - XINGPING (FULL DAY HIKE)
Hike for 6 hours today and enjoy a picnic lunch in the rice paddies. This is the highlight of your hike. Numerous hills can be seen everywhere and limestone pinnacles thrust up from the rice paddies all around; noisy water buffaloes will stop working and take a strange look at you; school children might ask you to play Ping-Pong with them. The hike ends at Xingping town where we will spend the night.

DAY 05 XINGPING - YANGSHUO (FULL DAY HIKE)
Hike from Xingping town to Yangshuo along the old "Pony Express" for 28 km. You won’t believe that so many farmers’ houses still have Mao’s post and cultural revolutionary slogans on their walls. Check into your hotel and in the evening, enjoy dinner in a local cozy café.

DAY 06 YANGSHUO (FULL DAY HIKE)
Today, enjoy a full day hike along the picturesque Yulong River to Yulong Qiao (Dragon Bridge). The excellent composition of water, ancient bridges and mountains along this waterway is one of the favourite choices of photographers and artists coming to the area.

DAY 07 YANGSHUO / DEPART GUILIN
Relax the morning in Yangshuo. In the afternoon drive back to Guilin about 70 Km (1.5 hour) for your flight out.
