Itinerary

Itinerary in details:

DAY- 1: ARRIVAL MAWLAMYINE
Arrive in Mawlamying, transfer to hotel check in. After that, visit the Seindone Minbaya Kyaung, a wooden structure originally was the residence where King Mindon’s queen sought refuge. Later it became a monastery, so is named after the queen. Visit Mahamuni Pagoda, built in typical Mon style, with covered walkways linking the various square shrine buildings. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we will also pay a visit to Taung Waing Pagodas where all can see Buddha image and 500 holy monks’ followers’ statues exit. Continue visit to Kyaikthalan Pagoda on a ridge of a hill, overlooking the town and offering a great refreshing view. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyaing.

DAY- 2: MAWLAMYINE – HPA AN– MAWLAMYING
After breakfast, drive visit to Hpan An, the capital of Kayin State. The road abounds with rich local life and scenic landscape. On the way you can visit Sadan Cave (there had rock, slop rock fountains) and Kawgoon Cave – an invaluable cultural heritage questionably dates back to 7-AD. Then, visit is made in this small town and continues to KyaukKaLatt which is a small rock hill formed look like a wine glass. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Lumbini Garden with thousands of Buddha images at the base of Mt. Zwekabin. Late evening, drive back to Mawlamyine. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Mawlamyine.

DAY- 3: MAWLAMYINE – THANPHYUZAYAT – MAWLAMYINE
After breakfast, we ¬will drive to Kyaikami, small town where Judson, an American Priest, arrived in 1825, with a nice view of beach is called Setse here some shopping at the colorful local "souvenir shop". Lunch at local restaurant on the way. On the way back we will plan for lunch and we will drop and looking around an hour or more Thanphyuzayat the Second World’s War Cemetery where was buried soldiers/allies which contains( 3771) graves who died building the Burma-Siam railway. (death railway)After that we will return to Mawlamyaing, on the way you will see very long and large reclining Buddha Image (Win Sein Taw Ya) and Kyaikmaraw pagoda, built by Queen Shin Saw Pu in 1455 in the late Mon regional style on the way. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

DAY- 4: MAWLAMYINE – BLUGYUN ISLAND – MAWLAMYINE (BY BOAT)
After breakfast, visit to Mawlamyine Zegyi Market and then transfer to jetty visit Blugyun Island across the Thanlwin River boat trip. Take a walk visit the village where you can study local ways of live. In there, you can see Rubber Making, Slate Making, Walking Stick and Pipe Making for smoking tobacco. Lunch at local restaurant. Then back to Mawlamyaing by boat. Evening sunset at Thanlwin River bank. Dinner local restaurant. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

DAY- 5: MAWLAMYINE – GOLDEN ROCK
After breakfast, drive to Kyaikhtiyo, Golden Rock Pagoda (Kyaikhtiyoe), on the way a stop is made in Thaton to visit Shwesayan Pagoda. Upon arrival at Kinpun base camp, take Truck to the Yathetaung middle camp. From middle camp start chair up (sedan) to your hotel, which is not far from the Golden Rock Pagoda. Lunch at hotel. After lunch, start sightseeing on the pagoda platform with the highlights of the Golden Rock Pagoda, Motesoe Taung Pagoda and stalls, where the Buddhist pilgrims can get foods and shelters. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Golden Rock (Kyaikhtiyo).

DAY- 6: GOLDEN ROCK – BAGO – YANGON
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and walk back to Yathetaung, middle camp, from middle camp take truck back to Kinpun basic camp. Then drive to Bago, start sightseeing visit to Shwemawdaw Pagoda which has a stupa inlaid with diamonds and is Bago's golden landmark. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, see Shwethalyaung Buddha, which dates from 994 and is revered throughout Myanmar as the most beautiful Reclining Buddha and Mya thalyaung reclining Buddha Image. Then continue to Kanbawzathadi Palace, which department of archaeology rebuilt on the old palace site and visit to Kyaik Pun Pagoda, (with four Buddha images). In the evening, drive to Yangon. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Yangon.

DAY- 7: DEPARTURE YANGON AND SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and then start Yangon sightseeing including sightseeing the historic downtown area, visit to the gilded Sule Pagoda dating back over 2,000 years and elegantly restored colonial-style buildings. Then visit to Scott Market (Bogyoke Aung San Market, closed on every Monday). Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most spectacular religious monuments in Myanmar. Then, transfer drive to international airport for your departure flight.
