Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI – THAI NGUYEN – CAT NE VILLAGE – OVERNIGHT AT HOMESTAY

8h00 A.M: Departure from Dina office at 69, Quan Thanh Str., Ba Dinh Dist., Hanoi to Thai Nguyen by highway. Arrival at Thai Nguyen around 10h00 A.M, continuation to Cat Ne village belonging to Dai Tu Dist., you pass through green tea hills of Tan Cuong, one of the most popular places with tea in Thai Nguyen. You have a rest to take some photos on the hills and enjoy fresh air of the mountain.

11h30 A.M: Arrival at Ms. Yen’s house at Cat Ne village for lunch.

In the afternoon, we visit Cat Ne secondary school, meet students and give them some presents such as clothes, school utensils and some biscuits and candies. Then, we go for a ride around the village, explore local market, and visit local people.

Dinner and overnight at home-stay (Ms. Yen’s house).

DAY 2: CAT NE VILLAGE – NUI COC LAKE - HANOI

After breakfast at Ms. Yen’s house, we prepare for amazing trekking to Nui Coc lake. The trekking lasts about an hour and 30 minutes. You take a walk in small route between ranges of luxuriant trees at the edge of the lake, and enjoy fresh air in the morning in the hills.

11h00 A.M: we have a small picnic for lunch accompany contemplation of landscape.

After the lunch, we visit Nui Coc lake by boat/ canoe. Located at the halfway mountain, Nui Coc is an artificial lake which barriers Cong river. It was constructed in 1993 and completed in 1994. With area about 25km², it consists of a main dam with length of 480m and 6 auxiliary dams. On the lake, there are more than 89 islands, which are forest trees, which are habitat of flamingo flocks, which are home to goats, and which is temple of Princess Thuong Ngan. The average depth is 35m, the water capacity is about 175 million m³, and the mining capability is from 600-800 tones/year. You have a chance to listen about touching love story of Ms. Cong and Mr. Coc.

We back to Hanoi around 5h00 P.M. End of the nice trip.
