6 Days, The Charm of Mekong Delta Tour

Itinerary

Day1: Saigon arrival

Welcome to Sai Gon-the economic centre of Vietnam. After pick you up at the airport and check in Cinnamon hotel in Sai Gon, you have free leisure time to explore this beautiful city by yourself.

Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day2: Saigon – Soc Trang - Bac Lieu (B, L)

Have breakfast and check out the hotel to transfer to Soc Trang. On the way, passing My Thuan Bridge. After lunch, visit Bat pagoda-one of the oldest Khmer temples in Soc Trang, Ma Toc pagoda with the most outstanding architectural complexes of Buddist pagoda in southern Vietnam and then Dat Set pagoda which is famous thanks to its collection of colourful clay statues , many of which are life-sized.

Arrive Bac Lieu, check in the hotel and rest at Bac Lieu.

Day3: Bac Lieu – Ca Mau (B, L, D)

Have breakfast and then leave for Ca Mau. Stop to see the villa of Cong Tu Bac Lieu – legendary of a rich playboy who lived in the early 1900s, famous for his wealth and lavish spending, once burned money to boil bean. Visit the memorial of Musician Cao Van Lau – author of “Da Co Hoai Lang”-the predecessor of Vong Co nowadays. Continue to Ca Mau, stop to visit Phat Ba Nam Hai and Nha tho Cha Diep (the father Diep Church) in Ho Phong.

Check in hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, sightsee the touristy site Hon Da Bac, CM12 Victory Memorial Monument, Lang Ong Nam Hai, bird park in the central city.

Have dinner and free time in the evening, overnight in Ca Mau.

Day4: Ca Mau – Can Tho (B, L)

Today is the amazing day. Have breakfast and then leave for Ca Mau and take a canoe to Dat Mui, visit to mangrove forest.

Have special lunch at local restaurant, take a short break and then transfer to Can Tho – the biggest and the most prosperous of the cities in the Mekong Delta. Check in hotel and stay overnight in Can Tho.

Day5: Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market–Phong Dien – Garden cycling trip (B, L)

In the morning: Today is amazing day. You have to get up early to go to Cai Rang floating market-the biggest wholesale floating market Mekong Delta and well known for its variety of fresh fruits and other local products. You can enjoy local breakfast here. After that, we continue to the Phong Dien floating market-another gorgeous floating market. On the way back to Ninh Kieu Park, we will visit a fruit garden to enjoy more local culture and unique produce.

In the afternoon: After have lunch and take a short rest, you’ll bicycle to villages of Can Tho to contemplate the peaceful beauty,  breathe deeply pure atmosphere, meet honest and friendly people and enjoy seasonal fruits in orchards of Can Tho.

Day6: Can Tho departure (B)

Have breakfast at the hotel and say goodbye to the beautiful city.
