Buddhism in Asian Culture

Buddhism is one of the most important part in Asian culture.

According to this religion, there is one thing called “karma”. That means you get what you sew. Therefore, people believe that if you do the good things in life, the good result will come to you as return, and vice versa.

Buddhist really believes that everything happens for a reason. If we try enough to do good thing, to keep our heart and mind pure and kind, we can change our destiny.

Buddhism’s main theme is teaching people how to live in harmony, love and take care of others. Moreover, compassion is one of the beautiful characteristic of Buddhism. People try to practice to broaden their compassion and love to everyone. It ranges from animals to human beings.

One of the other art of Buddhism is giving away and letting go. The more you are willing to let it go, the more peace and happiness you get. Buddist also believes in the past life, and the next life. That means dealth is just a new start of a new journey. That’s why people who practice Buddism always be careful with everything they do. Because they know that, they will have to pay the price in the next life if they do something bad.

Asia people almost honor their ancestor in the altar in their home. Every year, they will make an anniversary to honor the dealth. That way shows how much they miss and love their dead beloved ones. There are many things they need to do on those days. Such as going to the dead’s graves, preparing the food, welcoming their relatives to visit. Some people even burn to representatives of real money for the dead.

The details of the process maybe not the same as every regions. But there are also some similar on the way and attitude they do that. Because they do believe and want their passed-away beloved ones have better lives in the other worlds.

Why Buddhism is practiced most in Asia?

There are some many opinions for that question. However, because that Asia people suffered a lot from wars, the poverty. They tend to believe in the supper nature and put their hope in something give them strength to get over the difficulties in their lives.
