Hence a pilot community based tourism project will be implemented in Nam Dam, which later can be replicated to other villages if successful. The Swiss NGO Caritas Switzerland and the Vietnamese NGO Pan Nature (the latter funded by Misereor )fund and implement the community based tourism project in NamDam in close partner ship with the district authorities, the commune authorities, and the people of Nam Dam.
As long as project money is involved (e.g. during the construction and equipment of the guesthouse, cc the upgrading of private home stays, other product development) ,all activities must be agreed on in consensus between the CBT MB, the government, and Caritas / Pan Nature. After the end of the Caritas project, the CBT MB makes decisions in consensus with the government.

This segment of customers is not very demanding in terms of privacy, facilities, and service quality. It is important for these groups that they can stay together in a traditional house, having fun and being in touch with the local people and nature, experiencing the simple village life and learn something about the life of local people.
Therefore, a traditional Dao house will be built and equipped with a dormitory for groups of up to 20 people on the top floor.
On the bottom floor, a relaxing dining area, a souvenir shop with local specialties and handicraft as well as a space for cultural performances will be built.
In order to provide a minimum of privacy and comfort in the big dormitory, groups of two sleeping places (single mattresses) will be separated from each other by curtains
