Under Resolution No 99/NQ-CP the Government issued on December 29, visitors from Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland are allowed to enter and stay in Vietnam for up to 15 days without visas regardless of passport types and purpose of visit.
The policy will be effective for five years from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019.
Recently Vietnam is applying Visa Exemption for Asian Countries (except Brunei for only 14 days) and now put 7 countries more to the list. This action of Vietnam Government play an important in the development of Vietnam Tourism.
Opening Visa Exemption not only ensure the success of tourism development but also enhance the economic and social growth. According to statistic, foreign tourists to Vietnam have average expenses from 1200 USD to 2500 USD depending on each type of tourist and travelling. This is the foundation to increase the income of private areas and government area, also promote the demand of auxiliary products such as transportation, food, souvenirs …generate jobs and social benefits for community.
