The app, developed by Le Quoc Tien, 24, is available on Google Play.
Tien said the bilingual application will be useful for tourists in Hoi An, and it’s free to download.
He said tourists can explore tourism sites, food, maps, folk performances and their way around the city.
Last month, the city also launched a tourism promotion between May and August.
Hoi An, located in the central coastal province of Quang Nam, is an old trading port that dates back to the 15th century. Its architecture and layout reflect the indigenous and foreign influences that melted together to produce the unique character of the town.
The UNESCO-recognised world heritage welcomed 1.7 million foreign tourists last year.
