Floating Market is a unique culture of the West River. Meetings on the river all day, but usually the busiest in the morning.

The market is a place where local people buy and sell, where local people exchange produce, farm produce, food, etc.
Boats usually do not have signs. The boat’s characteristic is that there is a few pole on each boat, on which hangs products such as fruits, vegetables … They call this “cay beo”. Nga Bay Floating Market, also known as Phung Hiep Floating Market, is located in Nga Bay Town, which was established in 1915. It is a famous market of Hau Giang Province. Visitors will see the colorful scene of fruits, vegetables, water and living utensils. Especially the bright red of rambutan, mangosteen, the aroma of durian. This is a famous market in Nga Nam town, Soc Trang province, located at the intersection of five rivers: Ca Mau, Vinh Quoi, Long My, Thanh Tri and Phung Hiep. This is the longest and most crowded in the Mekong Delta. Unlike other floating markets, Nga Nam market starts from 3am to 8am. This market has most of the products of the Mekong Delta from the delicious rice, vegetables and fruits from the South Vietnamese garden to the aquatic products of the river. Nga Nam Floating Market is still idyllic, but still retains the typical soul of the Western floating market.

As the sun goes down, “floating street” lights on, shimmering lights make the whole river come alive, vibrantly colorful.
