The economical way to travel around in Laos

When traveling to Laos, you will have the opportunity to visit the places of scenic beauty and tourist attractions by characteristic means of transportation of this Land of million elephants.

The first impression with many Lao tourists is that the images of tuk tuk and pickup trucks are very popular in the street. Tuk tuk is a three or four-wheeled car with cabin. This car can carry up to 12 people and is the primary means of transportation from Vientiane, Luang Prabang to the suburbs. You can go to the bus stations or travel companies in Vientiane and Luang Prabang to rent a tuk tuk for less than $ 2/7-seat tuk tuk. And then, you can comfortably visit and experience the beauty of nature of Laos, far from the center of the city about 30 – 40km.

When discovering Laos, you will not see many taxis on the road as in other countries. Sometimes, you get one or two taxis a day. Therefore, to take the initiative for your trip, you should rent tuk tuk according to the cost of the journey (you should go in group)

Another interesting thing when in Laos streets is the awareness of Laos people. If you come to Vientiane, you will find that the driver does not like to use the car hooter, except in the compulsory case. Therefore, you will not have to suffer the noise of cars like in many other developing countries.
