Recently, Dina and Cinnamon Hotel Hanoi group, we had a really special trip to Thai Nguyen, a mountainous province north of Hanoi.
Departure from Hanoi at 8:30 in the morning, we headed to Thai Nguyen by new highway No. 3. Stopping in District Ba Hang, Pho Yen District, we took a walk to the market, sipped a cup of tea and coffee before breakfast. Our simple lunch at Flamboyant restaurant was filled with laughter Dina members.
After lunch, we continued the trip. Through the hills of smooth green tea, we had stops to take memorable photos and tried to pick tea.
Arriving at the village of Dong Nghe, District Cat Ne, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province at noon, we immediately took the hands to clean up the Cultural House of the village. At the same time, Dinah’s men have a library named The Library of Dina where locals, especially children can find favorite books, and cartoons after tiring working and studying hours.
In the afternoon, we held a meeting with the participation of children and their parents, and young people in the village. The meeting was intended to get to know the local people, talk with them about life there, and exchange cultures. This is the main activity of our trip, one of our monthly tri charitable programs. The children there are wise and so cute. They were present from early to greet us. They, and we, we cleaned the whole tour of the village, so we ended up cleaning just a moment.
We passed overnight at the village by camping. It was the first time we enjoyed the night in the nature. Everyone felt excited and scared when night fell in the tents.
This trip was very interesting because we had a chance to join the Vietnamese traditional wedding of a member of Dina, Miss. Yen Yen. After drinking for her wedding, we returned to the camping place for taking a short rest.
In the evening, we rode a bike along the paths between the vast plains and under the light of the peaceful moon, then sang and danced until the night.
The second day began in the quiet village. We got up early to see the sunrise over the rice fields. We took some photos, and biked as a physical activity. After breakfast, we had a trekking lasting about an hour and 30 minutes. You take a walk in small route between ranges of luxuriant trees and enjoy fresh air in the morning in the hill.
After the trekking, we went to the tourist area of Ho Nui Coc.We. Located at the halfway mountain, Nui Coc is an artificial lake which barriers Cong river. It was constructed in 1993 and completed in 1994. With area about 25km2, it consists of a main dam with length of 480m and 6 auxiliary dams. On the lake, there are more than 89 islands, which are forest trees, which are habitat of flamingo flocks, which are home to goats, and which is temple of Thuong Ngan Princess. The average depth is 35m, the water capacity is about 175 million m3, and the mining capability is from 600-800 tones/year.
We took a boat for a ride around the lake. We were taken to the temple where they worship the Ngan Thuong Princess and ecological island to visit many precious animals.
Then we returned for lunch in a restaurant by the lake. We still had a happy meal with the birthday celebration of a Dina member.
Relaxing at the swimming pool
Our trip ended by visiting two families among the members of Dina on the way back to Hanoi. The laughter and stories linked us together. During the trip, we had good moments of pleasure and relaxation. After each trip, we have more energy for working, more life experience, many valuable lessons and unforgettable memories.
