In Ha Giang, the Hmong ethnic group, as well as many others has their own unique cultural characteristics. With skillful hands and meticulousness, the Hmong created their outstanding and colorful handmade costumes by themselves. Most Mong people in Ha Giang prefer to wear linen not only because the fabric is cool and soft  but also because of color, pattern, and colorful lines. The main color of the costume is usually indigo, giving a feeling of strength and comfort. Accompanied by traditional costumes, this ethnic uses a lots jewelry such as necklace, bracelet, earrings, rings, and so on.

Basically, the Mong women’s dress is usually conical, folded. The apparel usually comes with head scarf, dress, skirt, belt, apron in front and back of skirt, leggings, jewelry.

Men’s clothing is also very diverse and abundant. Depending on the different groups, the Mong men’s clothes are diversity in length, decorated with various details. Especially in the winter or in their traditional festival, they also wear many kinds of accessories like necklaces, bracelets, rings…
