Speaking at the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said the event aims to bolster tourism collaboration between Viet Nam and Singapore as well as strengthen the traditional friendship between the two governments and peoples.
The minister hoped the event would actively progress the two sides’ tourism investment and exchange activities.
General Director of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Nguyen Van Tuan affirmed that Singapore is an important market for the country’s tourism and that Viet Nam’s diversified tourism products are attracting Singaporean travellers’ interest.
During the event, a film introducing Son Doong cave caught the attention of international travel, local communication and other foreign representative agencies based in the island country.
Viet Nam received 202,436 Singaporean travellers in 2014, up 3.4 percent from the previous year. Singapore is the 12 th biggest market of Vietnamese tourism.
