Biographie
1943 Born in Hue
Member of the Association Vietnam Fine Arts
1977 Graduated from Hanoi College Fine Arts
Former Major and painter in Vietnam’s People’s Army
Awarded Prize in Arts & Literature by Ministry of Defense
He has participated in art exhibition in Vietnam and out countries as Russia, Japan, France, Italy, Poland, and Czechoslovakia.
His paintings have been collected by the Vietnam’s Fine Art Museum and many collectors overseas.
1990 The Ministry of Defense awarded him a prize about literature and art of the Vietnam People’s Army.
He specializes in motherland, love, landscape and war subjects.
With 35 years served the Army, he has led an artist – fighter life. He went during the time of war, along the whole country, from the North to the South, once going to Laos, to Cambodia. His soldier baggage consisted of the field sack and easel permanently along his side.
In Pham Luc ‘s world of color, some people are found of his cold grey and the others love his warm fresh brown, what an expressionist style with great feeling! The hidden strength behind the painting has more appear by the time an evident and talented, in Pham Luc’s Art.
