Vietnamese-Style Chicken Curry Soup Recipe “Canh ga nau xao”

Le « Canh ga nau xao » as well known « Canh ga nuoc xuyt » is a typical plate from Nghe An province. This plate is prepared with curcuma, onions and lemon tree leaf. « Canh ga nau xao » is served with « Banh muot ».

Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • Curcuma
  • Lemon tree leaf
  • Coriander
  • Onions
  • Welsh Onion
  • Pepper Powder
  • Chilly Pepper
  • Raw Fish sauce (nuoc mam)

 

Preparation

– After you have prepared the chicken, boil it

– Cut it in slices

-Crush lemon tree leaves. Marinate about 30 min the chicken with the Raw Fish sauce, curcuma, lemon tree leaves, and onions

– Sauté chicken to high heat until it’s a lightly golden

– Pour 2l of water and keep going to heat until water boils

 

Presentation

Put the chicken in a bowl. Sprinkled snipped chives and chopped coriander

This plate is served with « Banh muot ba Hanh »

 

Results 

While you savor your plate, you’ll feel lemon tree leaves’ aroma, hot and soft savor of curcuma. Chicken well-cooked is a pleasure for your senses of taste.
